I did some searching on the K&N clamp on with the stock carb, both here and the Bombardier area. I bought an HMF full exhaust (came with DynoJet Kit) for my pred and the K&N clamp on w/outerwear (should be here in a couple of days). Not really sure about the slide spring and drilling deal, but it seams that the clamp on is not the way to go, as I have read you lose power from it and the extras carb mods you have to do. I do not have a lot of options at my immediate disposal for filter option. I got the clamp on sine that is what was recomended in the DynoJet for the stage 3.

So, my question is, with the HMF full exhaust which would I see the better gain from the K&N clamp on or drop in with stock box setup? The Drop in I can get from the Polaris dealer. I do not really have any other immediate choices since I am not I am not in the US presently. Suggestions appreciated!

Thanks Chris

Don't know about the gains, but if you're going to be in any kind of water, stay with the drop in. My nephew's Pred has the clamp on and we have to wait for him to creep across any creeks or puddles. But if you're riding in Dubai, water may not be a problem.

Without modding the carb, the clamp on can actually make you loose power.......due to vaccum........The drop in is very nice, and works well. I would stick with it.
