Mileage Champion???

I got a 2002 Sportsman 500HO has just over 5600mi. Replaced the primary clutch and 3cv boots. I get 60-75 miles on a tank depending on the tires I'm running. Also have a 1997 Sportman 500 with 2700mi. Bought it as a project so I won't list the parts.

2000 SP 500 8500 miles. Parts, cooling fan, one u-joint, rear wheel bearing, primary clutch,
2002 325 4x4 magnum about 5000 miles, No repairs.
2003 330 trail boss about 3500 miles rear swing arm bushings
2004.5 700 efi 900 miles No repairs
I did not include brakes, filters, I have never had a fouled plug. I do the normal maintenance routine. The quads are used just about everyday during all four of Michigan seasons. I am guessing at the miles for the 325 and the 330. I just guaged the miles as to how many miles the sp 500 had when I bought each machine. The 325 and 330 could have many more miles on them as the kids ride them often when the sp 500 is not being ridden. All of my quads get rode hard. They have held up way beyond my expectations.

10,700 miles. So far I replaced brakes once, belt once, bushings & buttons in the clutches once (if you keep an eye on the clutches, and replace the bushings/buttons at the FIRST sign of looseness or wear, the rest of the clutch will last far longer), tie rod ends once, lower steering stem bushing once, both CV boots once, and have done a $200 top-end job on the engine.
That is in addition to the usual wear stuff like air cleaners, drive chains, etc.
I grease my machine religiously, and have no detectable looseness on any chassis components with a zerk.

It still runs like a top Polasris 500Ho 4x4. I do regular maint on it and have had no engine problems for the 5600mi. I change the oil and grease everything at 100hr intervals and grease after any deep water rides. I use it on a ranch and average 15mi/day. It's rare that if it doesen't get run everyday. It see's it's share pf abuse but a good maint. schedule goes a long ways.
