Has anyone done any upgrades to your 700 EFI. So far I have put on a K&N air filter and a Pure Polaris exhaust. Looking for more ideas...

I have done the 3 light mod and will be modifying the weep hole on the radiator overflow cap. I know these are not really performance mods, but they are little things that I have been tinkering with. The K&N filter was a must of course. I just got it and haven't had time to ride with it yet. There are always more to come.

What are your 3 light mods? Exactly what are you doing to the weep hole and what will this do for you?

Look at my profile on the bottom of my post, those are all my mods.

On the 3 headlight mod, if anyone from the forums here wants one, I have them made up already....and they are not the cheap version. My mod includes the following:

Eaton Rocker switch
Type 5 Ceramic diode
Quick splice connectors
wiring with quick disconnects
instructions
Cost: $10 + $2 shipping

This way you get your normal 'off', 'lo' and 'high' just like normal, but when you switch the rocker switch when on high, you get all 3 lights on. Its the only way to go.

Here is a pic of where I mounted the switch on my '05 700 EFI, mounted right below the work light switch:

the Power Commander changes the curves and the way the fuel injection reacts according to the load (software) you install. There are 4 different loads. I haven't read any results that seemed that it does alot. There has been some talk on other forums about it and the manufacturer even was replying and said they were still working on the unit. I'm not sure the benefits, but wouldn't mind knowing if someone has it installed and reply on the results....

Addition...I just read on Power Commanders website that there is a model available for the 2004 EFI, but the model for the 2005 700 EFI and 800 EFI are in development.

you can see my mods/add ons below. my next mods plans are to upgrade my tires to 27" ITP mudlites or the mudzilla's and I'm trying to find a set of used ITP's so I can get them powdercoated gloss black, that'll look sweet with the black/silver plastic. I also plan to add the pure polaris/whitebrothers silencer and a K&N filter.

I have posted a few topics for the 3 headlight conversion kits, just put in a search for headlight mod in either the polaris forum or the utility forum. I made up a real nice instruction sheet which includes parts list and directions. I will email it to you if you pm me with your email address.

Elkbow,

Please e-mail me your contact and payment info for your 3- light kit. I would love to install it on my 04.5 700 MO Sportsman. My dad will pickup his 05 700 EFI Sportsman next week. What great machines! Thanks....
