What do you use to polish fine scratches out of the plastic pannels?

Vantec,

You can try one of those sprays for car's interior plastics, if the scratches are very small. You could also try very fine polish, but it has the risk of making the plastic lose it's shine (depending on the polish).

I use STP Son of a gun on my 200 Xpedition, and it really doesn't take the deep scratches out it makes the machine look as if it just came out of the showroom. After riding, I take it to the car wash, and pressure spray all the mud off (being careful of hubs, joints etc.....) I air dry it on my trailer bact to home, then give it a liberal coat of son of a gun plastic protectent and let it dry. Works, and looks great!!

ive tried a bunch of different things..seems sun of a gun works best..dont use mop and glo floor wax..it`ll peel in some places and make it look like you have clear coat when it starts to peel..you wont get many scratches out as there embedded into the plastic, but the quad will look great after you son of a gun it(tire spray) its like 3 bucks a bottle

I noticed in the Dennis Kirk catalog that they have some polishes that claim to remove scratches. I've never tried any these so I don't know if they work. I had quite a few small scratches on my honda 300 by the time I sold it. After I washed it I would always soak it down with a good coat of Amorall tire foam. Made it have that shiny new look. Just don't get it on the seat or you may slide right off next time you ride up a hill.

Since I heard it here a while back, I use Pledge furniture polish. Works great and smells lemony!!!

I have the scratches and cracks too and they look like the cracks are filled with dirt and I can never get it out...even a pressure washer doesn't work.

I usually spray on WD-40 and then wipe it off and then use a brush to put on turtle wax, then hose it down...and it looks soooo nice!!

I have a white 97 Scrambler with a lot of scratches. One thing I've found to work good, is orange gojo handcleaner. I used the green side of those little yellow sponges. It takes some elbow grease, but the scratches buff out. My local dealer told me they polish the bikes with Pledge. But those bikes are still in the showroom and are not scratched yet.
