Default Many problems explorer 300 help.

my buddies explorer( the one in my pics) wont start ok here the list

1. i know it has nothing to do with air, fuel or spark,
2. i KNOW the top end has to be rebuilt, it has almost no compression when you pull start it.- how many lbs of compression should this thing have?, before i go and pull the top end, and order a piston and get it bored.
3. The electric starter no longer works... just stopped. You can hear the starter solonoid clicking but nothing. I have no idea where the starter is located, on this thing, or if it is just a electrical issue.

if anyone has a shop manual in pdf or anything that would be helpful.

and how many lbs of compression this thing is supposed to have, i know a motor needs about 100 or so to run.

My Trailblazer had the same problem. It was the starter that was bad. I have just removed mine and blocked it off on the case. The starter is located on the bottom of the case.

What Year is the Explorer? On Polaris's web site you can download the PDF manual.

You should get anywere between 113psi and 120psi for compression.
