Default Might change my mind...

As most of you all know I'm buying a new ATV. I was looking VERY hard at getting a SP800. But two factors may change that. One is when is the thing going to get here? I was told for a long time the first of November, now it's looking the first of the year maybe the soonest! Another is the price, it's really up there for just a extra 77cc's and another tail pipe. So I may just get the SP700EFI 05. Now the reason for this post was to ask all the owners of the 05 700EFI, how are the holding up? Have the fuel pump problems been fixed? Are they as "tough" as Polaris is makeing them out to be? I owned a 04.5 700EFI for a long time, and I really liked it a lot and didn't have any problems even after I put 2000 miles on it! With the 05s having so many changes, it's safe to call this a "new" ATV, even if they do share the same powerplant. I do know how the 05 SP700EFI's drive as I test drove one at a dealer. So please any input would be awesome, and I need it pretty quick because I may just pick one up some time this week (Saturday most likely on November 13th).

Thanks for all the help!!

My dealer told me he had a Nov 10 ship date on the 800. I guess I will see next week. But also remember the 800 is suppose to have 25% more HP and torque over the 700. I traded my 04 Pred for one and they gave me $4000 for my Pred and sold the 800 for $8199. Plus I still get the $400 in options and a 1 year warrenty. But if power is not a big concern, then the 700 should do fine.

GE4x4 if a 800 comes in within the next 2 weeks I will jump on it. Don't get me wrong I love power, and the money isn't just a huge problem. But I have a full week Thanksgiving and I want to ride! I guess we will see how it works out, if ANYBODY has seen a 800 at a dealer PLEASE reply! Thanks....

polaris5610 hang in there dude! if money isn't the issue, wait for the monster 800! it'll be well worth it.

if you have to have the biggest and baddest, that 800 looks like one mean machine. read the specs again, you can't pass this one up!

can't you borrow your neighbor's quad for now if you really have to ride that bad? J/K LOL!

Well I have a 800 on order! I went ahead and did it, it will be here sometime this month! The best part is I paid $7599.00 out the door! I'm so happy and I don't even have it yet! LOL thanks everyone, I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Oh and don't worry as soon as the big bad 800 comes in I will have full ride report along with a slew of pictures. I can't wait for this thing to come in!!!!!!!!!!!!
