Oil in the airbox ??
Guys:
I was cleaning my '04 sportsman 600 today, and found what seemed to be possibly oil in my airbox. The only way I can figure it got there was thru the breather hose that connects to the airbox. I checked my oil level and it did seem high, not sure why. Anyway, have any of you had this same thing happen, or do you at least have a theory to what might have happened. I'm hoping this isn't a sign of worse things to come. Thanks.

Oil in the airbox ??
Mine was filling up the drain tube with engine oil. Upon further investigation, I found that crankcase had nearly a gallon of oil inside. Changed oil with new Polaris synthetic and a new Polaris filter and now things seem normal. Should I also change the inline breather filter??? Any ideas??? Do these machines come from the factory with the engine oil inside the crankcase, or is that installed upon arrival at the dealership???
