If you don't want to read Polaris owners talking about how much they like their bikes, don't come into a Polaris forum. If you want to read about how much Polaris' suck, go to another manufacturer's forum. Does this make sense to anyone besides just me??

Not to single this one out, AKScrambler, but I've wondered why posters publish derogatory opinions in the "home forum" of the very target of their disrespect.

This practice is not unique to the Polaris forum; I've seen it elsewhere.

I wonder: What is the poster's purpose? What reaction does he expect from readers of the forum where he posts? What action does he expect readers to take as a result of his post?

I've respectfully asked these questions before, but never received any answers.

Hey Tree Farmer, I think that people like balzie do this because they believe negative attention is better than no attention. I think we all know blasters are good little bikes for what they are, but I'm both impressed and happy with my Scrambler and my Big boss. To me, that's all that counts.

Well, if anyone ever flipped my Scrambler they better hope it kills them cause I'd finish them off myself if it didn't. I wouldn't waste my time flamin Balzie cause I feel sorry for people that have to ride Blasters anyway. Heck, I had to help a guy on a Blaster just yesterday get out of a mudhole on the trail...then I popped it in 4x4 and motored on thru it.
