First boondockers is totally different than a NX kit!! With the NX kit if your jetting and everything is dialed in before the nos then you should have no problems!! The shot I have seen up to a 25 horse shot on a stock pred!! The ones we have installed it on are shot right in between the carb and the cylinder it works well there you can drill and tap the hole with out taking anything apart but the carb. Preatorkicksass is right about the NX Kit. I Pmed him before I bought mine for info and experience with the systems but decided to go with the Boondocker Kit anyway as it suited what I was expecting and I can transfer it to my sled if I choose without much hassle. Seemed like a lot simplier system and easier install.
I am using a 20hp nozzle and 3 lb bottle. The motor is stock execpt for HMF Pipe and opened airbox(170 M.Jet). I installed a White Bros CDI which has a 1000rpm higher rev limit so the quad hardly ever hits its limit now. I am using 94 octane pump gas although I did run the 4Stroke race fuel in Oregon at the dunes. Did not notice any difference in performance and plugs looked the same. Hard to check plugs on a pred. It sems like you have half the front off the bike to get the plug out. The biggest thing about nitrous is to make sure you are not too lean!!

If you have it set up right it is safe as adding a bigger carb say!!

 

well i'm gonna do it ...i'm getting nos, but i'm doing it right the dyna FS has a setting to spray the nos at the right times in the gears!!! so i'm gonna do it....should be done by spring and this way i can just take off the bottle and still MX race too....best of both worlds!!!
