It's not that hard to make struts, Home Depot and Lowes sell square aluminum tubing. Buy the size that's closest to your shock mounts, remove the shocks while the quad is lifted by the frame, adjust the ride height on the jack to where you want it, measure the shock lengths from eye to eye, cut and drill the aluminum tube, and bolt up your new struts. Much cleaner than trying to strap down the shocks and the struts weigh less. Plus, it's only a few bolts to change out the struts when you want a functional suspension again.

I did this already....they work great, we was in a hurry....and I did not have time to take the shocks off, we was running behind. I took a pic of it with the home made struts on it, they are in my gallery. Thanks for the imfo. though.

what is the engine peak hp at (rpm)?
at rev limiter your motor doesn't have the same hit than at peak rpm,,,
you should choose a ratio of gears that put the engine right out in the meat in what gear you're launching...

I have been drag racing for 12 years now and have not once took off in first gear. It just depends alot on the track and tires you are running, , if im running 4 snows i can take off in third and run that all the way..... 150ft tho.... BTW where did you race at? if i would have known about it i would have brought my little LT 250 and let you scratch your head on why you cant beat a bike half the size.
