Default Strange noise

Just recently I noticed a strange noise coming from the rear of my '01 Xplorer. It kinda sounds like <chung chung chung> only when you're moving. It sounds like it's coming from the rear sprocket area. It drives fine but the noise worries me. What should I look for? The sprocket and chain seem ok. Any ideas?

Have you lubed your chain? My buddy's does that, they don't know what grease and chain lube is. Unless they are at my house...then they use all of mine up Check and see if the chain is shiney.

RAJ -- I do have a chain wax that I put on periodically. I've also been told to periodically take the chain off and soak it in oil to moisten up the O-rings. Any other products I should look at to lube it up while it's still on the machine?

Silverbullet -- It sounds more like a chung chung chung. If it's the brakes, what should I be looking for that could make that noise?
