Default Predator Cooling Fan

I recently bought a 2005 Predator 500. The electric fan seems to run more than I would expect. After 10-15 minuets of easy to moderate trail riding the fan comes on and does not stop until the quad is turned off and let set. The outdoor temperature is cool (55 – 60 degF). The temperature indicator does not come on. Is this normal? The fan on my Z400 only comes on for short periods of time while riding hard (on warm days) in the dunes and never while trail riding. Is it normal for the Predator fan to run so often?

Yes that is normal for the fan to come on alot. There is some things you can do it help it for kicking on all the time. Engine Ice will help out the most, then they are Air Scoops...these will help as long as you are moving....and they are inline coolers, which you can get off e-bay for like $12.00. They have fins on them so the air will pass across them.
