Default SP700 (non-efi) performance mods?

My father has a 2003 SP700, and I can get an identical one for dirt cheap. I'd like to know if there are any low-moderate modifications out there for the SP700. Does a slip-on do anything for the bike? Any timing modules? Is there a better CVT spring setup than factory? I'm wanting a vtwin kawi for the performance, but if I can bump the performance on the SP700...the price is definitely right.

Thanks!

do a search in the forum, you'll find alot of mods that can be performed....but some of them are:

Clutch kit ( most use Heelclicker, but others out there like Dalton, etc.)
Muffler
Jet Kit w/ air filter

Vette,
I installed a Dalton clutch kit (BW700), and it worked great for acceleration. I also installed a Power tech -4 stainless silencer. This along with a K&N air filter and a bump up in the jetting gave better throttle response and a bit more mid and top. I have traded in the SP700 and still have the silencer (it's about 6 mos old). If you’re interested in it send me a PM and I will provide any additional info.
P.S. The silencer worked for both EFI and non-EFI 2002-2004 Sportsmans 600/700's.

I guess I should make sure it is a good price first huh.

It is a 2003 black/silver 700twin. It has ~200 miles on it and has front and rear tubular bumpers. A blade comes with it, but no mounting kit.

Price is $4500

Good/Bad/Ugly?

I agree you should grab it before it's gone. an 02 with only 200 miles for $4500 is a great deal. and even better if it comes with front and rear bumpers and a blade. mounting kits for the plow are less than $100.
