did u buy your sp500ho with the mudrunners?? if so how much did it cost to upgrade?

The mudrunners are a alright tire; they clean well and handle well at high speeds on all kinds of surfaces. I paid a extra hundred canadain for the tires because I trade the stockers in, they're mounted on ITP Magnums.
I raced him again on cement this time and a little of a downslope, it was a little closer but I still reaches fifty first and began to pull away. I shut it down once more, new engine and all. I think it'll do over sixty, it doesn't feel like it's reving and the throttle is only about halve way. After thirty miles the needle just drops to fifty.

 

If your Mudrunners are mounted on ITP Magnums then your tires must stick out past the fenders by quite a bit. I called about the aftermarket rims myself and they told me that the rims are off set 1" to the outside. Thus giving you a 48" width (stock is 46" ). So if the rims make the front and rear of the quad 2" wider how much extra do the wider tires make it? Is this a problem in the woods? I ordered Mudrunners my self but I will be using stock rims. By going with the ITP Magnums you saved 29 pounds of unsprug weight.

 

i still think the HO will outrun the grizz,stock vs stock bikes.

 

i would assume that by going to ITP magniums your ride would get more muddy. i would think that more mud would get thrown onto the rider. i really like the looks of the ITP magnium rims. does anyone know anything about the douglass untimate rims?? do they have the same offset? they seem to be more expensive than the ITp's

Ya it's a little more muddy, actually the fronts rims and tires aren't near as bad as the last set of ITP steel rims I was running on my Polaris Magnum 500. I think every aftermarket rim is going to be offset like the ITP, ioncluding the Douglas, that's the only way you can put wider then an eight inch tire on front.

 

ITP Magnums and Douglas rims both have the same off set 1"+ to the outside. BTW ITP Magnums weigh 6oz less than a Douglas rim and are stonger.

You are starting to annoy me. I just bought my 2000SP500 2 months ago. It will be very difficult to explain to the little woman about how I have to have an HO at this point. Tazgrizz beats me on the straight away. I don't exactly like being beat by a log wagon riding portable leg roaster. Please do not post anymore topics such as this. I have bought 6 quads in the last 2 years and I don't think my marraige can stand another at this point. Thank you for your understanding and assistance in this matter.

u better not get a sp500ho, cause if u do u know that polaris will come out with a sp700.When they do come out with a sp700 then u will want that one. u could tell your wife that your current sp500 is getting "wore out" because of all the mods that u put on it, and that u need to upgrade to a sp700

You wisdom is much appreciated; however, I have seen no convincing evidence that there will be a SP700 anytime soon.
