im thinking of getting a scrambler 400 and building it up for 300ft dirt drags.how well do you think a scram can do in 300ft drag?anyone here race them if so what have you got done to it and what times have you posted?thanks

I ran 5.5 sec and 57 mph in 300 feet, at Hatfield and McCoys this passed spring. And I still had the 4x4 on it then. And I was running very rich.....I did not bring any jets when we went down.

 

I say- run the hpd full race mod kit (drag port and clutch) lower it, remove everything possible except for the front drive, and put a 25 hp squirt of nitrous on it. Pro wedge 2s on all four wheels.

yes she runs a 4.61 ....nicholas cycle built a real nice 400 sport that screams talk to them they can give you some tips...he doesn't use the bottle on his bikes...just raw hp!

 

Not sure about the nos on Nicholas' bikes. I was checkin out hpd's site yesterday they got the powermax 400 on nitrous. "125hp" with pred plastic. Nice

 

that 125hp is including the shot of nos i bet! but i don't know

 

you can deffinatly create a screaming monster out of a 400L, talk to Rick, HPD, and possibly AZ Bad Boyz or Nicholas cycles, they'll set you up
