A new Scrambler has been a dream for many of us for several years. Rumors are always in the mill. I'm glad I got mine a couple years ago, instead of waiting for a new one to come out. I'll be first in line at my dealer if a new one does. I'm just tired of holding my breath.

i've had 2 500 scramblers.a 01 which i sold and i've got a 02 4x4,love them both.then a bought a month ago the updated version,its called a kfx 700,liter,faster,prettier. i hope polaris keeps up with kawi.because kawi stold their idea bike.

the color BLACK on anything, a car, atv, boat, looks great when new..........BUT! when it's all scratched-up, i hate black. it's the most difficult color to maintain. my '04.5 Sportsman700EFI looked like hell with 10 miles on odometer. c'mon Polaris, why offer so much black?

now, the new SP800 fenders front and rear are black! what the hell are they thinking? just lightly rub your finger on the fender and whamo! there's your first scratch!

(sorry for venting. yes, i feel better now. LOL)


the Scrammy is a great ATV. fits a nice nitch. i liked it when Polaris offered it in 3 models: 400 two stroke, 500 two wheel, and 500 4X4. i think the crowd went for the Sportsmans and that's why we only have one Scrammy today.

i'd like to see one offered in RED and optional power of a 400 2-stroke or 500EFI. now that would satisfy a broad group.

the flames are cool but i agree i dont like the black! the two best colors are red and blue. have not seen a yello scramy but i dont think it would look good.

 

I bought a new '04 Scrambler this past spring. I live in Buffalo, NY so we get our share of snow. Just took it out for the first time last week in 8" of snow. It worked awesome. Who needs a snowmobile....I feel like I have a toy for all seasons!

 

my 03 scrammy was the last year for the fox shock. That is shame that they quit putting it on. Now it is a high dollar option. I love mine. You are correct, it a toy for ALL seasons. EFI would be nice. The 500HO is a killer motor though! I will probably buy the new seat, I like how they widened it. overal it's a great machine, too bad polaris doesn't pay more attention to it.

 

Actually,my dealer says that they hardly ever sell the sportsmans,the scrammy and the predator are his only sellers.Youre right,they should put more advertising and R&D into the scrambler!Maybe offer shock options or performance packages for it.
