air filter

Default air filter

Need help with clamp on air filter. Will it keep out the dirt and sand? Will it improve hp? I have the big K&N drop in filter right now but have heard different things from everyone, need help. Thanks.

i would stay with your K&N filter those are great filters...

Is a K&N really that much better than a stock filter? (Sorry, I'm not trying to steal your post.)

Just make sure that with the K&N you run an outerwares on the filter & on the airbox lid ( if you have cut holes in it ) The K&N flows well, but almost to well in EXTREMELY dirty conditions. Thats why frequent cleaning & re-oiling is a must & so is an outerwares. As for the coolant, as long as you make sure it is safe for aluminum, however with most modern cars the heads, blocks, radiators are aluminum, 99% of the anti-freeze available is aluminum safe.
