yes ,you might want to replace the stock steering stem bushing with an aftermarket one,i beleive you can get it from hpd, stock ones dont hold up too well..also check the tie rod ends,2000 model are famous for premature wear..polaris has a better tie rod out thats supposed to be better..the old style outer ends are ball and socket style and the new style are hiem joints just like the inner tie rods..if yours are n/g dont buy the kits they have but buy individual pieces, its cheaper than the kits,i dunno why but it is

The HPD brass lower steering post bushing is a must on all Polaris quads. They are about $35 and take about an hour to install. I have installed three on friends quads in the last two months. Makes your quad feel like new.

Also, grab your front wheels on the opposite outer ends, if there is play in them, you need new tie-rod ends. If there is no play and you have the older style ends, replace them anyway, they are likely to go out on your next ride, even if it's to the end of the driveway and back.

Why did they stop putting zerks on the tie rod ends? At the dealer today I was looking at a purple Scrambler 500 which had zerks; however, my 2000 Tb 325 has none. When I checked them last night they were obviously out of lubrication. My wifes was even semi frozen til I gave it a good twist. Was the scrambler a fluke or having lower end machines do we not benefit from a 30 cent part. I know what I'll be doing this winter...
