Default 400 Sport Displacement

What displacement is aquired when you bore out the cylinders?
Is there any gain when you bore .020? I realize there should be some but how much for each level?
I am talking about the stock cylinder. And is there any gain in HP or torque when yo do this?
Thanks for all your help guys and girls.

check out the wiseco web site it shows the displacement for each bore to a 400 stock to what ever bore size you look for, the disp. increase is very minimal. hope this helps.

Bigger bore doesnt always mean more HP. On the 400's you gain useable torque when going to a bigger piston. Unless you go a lot at one time then the results will be nill. The other thing to think about is that porting changes a bunch when boring. Any ports that are angled steep will suffer a loss. A big bore 400 (.120 over) makes a 411cc if memory serves me right while stock is only 378cc. Hope this helps,Bubba

Bore size in MM DIVIDED by 2 ------> TIMES itself ------->TIMES stroke in MM --------> TIMES 3.14-----> Equals displacement in CC
