I just want to know in everyones option what is the best pipe for a predator. Im getting one next week and im undicided it dosent matter how loud it is i like em loud i just want the power and need to know what to get.

 

There are about two options here.......that I would seriously consider. First is the rath racing header, with a nicholas cycle pipe on it, and next is the HPD full system powermaxx system..........these both make serious numbers, and will produce power all the way through the power band.

I dont think that you need a full system ... just get a slip-on... header wont make any diffrence if your not about to improve your engine and invest lots of money on your quad.

Anyway i'd pick nicholas pipe...

 

Wrong......the header I listed(and the other full system) both will help out bottom end quite a bit..........they work well. They produce about 2-3 hp by themselves.

 

Let's not forget the Pure Polaris/White bros slip-on. Noted power gains, and controlable sound levels. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Yep.......the wb/pp pipe is actually pretty impressive, and the most quite one out there I believe........but a rath header on it and you have a pretty good system......


For all out power, I would have still gotten the ones I listed above, but I couldn't afford it at the time........and still can't!!!!!!

 

what do you guys think about a yoshymara pipe are thay any good the dealer has one in stock and said he could give it to me for 480 full system

 

I don't know much about the yoshi pipe...I do know Doug did a test on them, and he was not happy. The Pure Polaris and the Rath Header is a real good set up. I'm sure Dougs Drag pipe would be great, but he said it was very loud and it don't have a spark arrester....and the HPD don't have on either.

 

Here I'll break it down for you:

Quite, and somewhat powerful......rath headpipe and wb/pp pipe
louder and more powerful..........rath headpipe and rath pipe
even louder(I think, might not be) and more powerful........nicholas cycle pipe with rath header
very loud and very powerful.........hpd powermaxx pipe(full system)


The nicholas cycle pipe and rath header has the most power.........with the hpd system right behind it. I'd call up Doug real quick, and he'll tell ya about the pipes, he has tested them all. He also might have some tester pipes(been ran for just testing) laying around too..........which you might get for cheaper than market. Don't be afraid to wait a bit(instead of just buying what your dealer has) and order something from Doug. He will treat you well, and has some pretty good prices on pipes. He used to(might stil have) a good price on the hpd system........
