Default chain

When you put in another link, don't you really put in two? Simply because of the way a link is structured, with inner sections tied together by outer plates. So if you extend the chain with a master link, it is two sections (4 holes), right? Maybe? If so, I seem to remember that you could buy half links, specially designed for this purpose. I think Polaris uses a #520 size chain which is what many big bore sport bikes use. So you might ask at your local motorcycle shop.
