If you had a big bore kit, or some big time mods maybe the dyna, or the vortex.....the best bang for the buck is Dougs cdi...and it's only $158.00 vs $400.00 (vortex) $425.00 (dyna)

very true RAJ....the key is always make sure your battery is at a full charge before starting your pred, with any aftermarket CDI.

I don't think it drains your battery Rex, but if you battery happens to be low for some reason(cold)......then there have been problems with the hair line cracks in the covers.......remember Dan had one.......and so did someone else, and they have kinda came to the conclusion that this is what caused it.....or atleast have a charged battery seemed to not cause it to happen again.........

i think it has something to do with the timing curves needing more cranking amps to start it.....if there's not enough it can backfire and that's not good...LOL
