thanks!
i think i like that mounting plate design. it's flat! no reduction in ground clearance. it doesn't show how the plow frame mates to the mounting plate. hmmmm interresting though.
gotta love that yellow on a snow blade! nice.

it's difficult to tell if AE is a strong set-up or not. the website never shows the frame. can't tell if it's beefy or not.
i like the Glacier. the blade could be a little heavier though. other than that, it's top-notch so far.

I just installed a Eagle State Plow Blade to my Sportsman and it was much easier than I thought. The bottom mounting plate is flush to the ATV, and you could leave it on in the summer as another skid plate. I purchased the 60' version and it is built much heavier than some of the snow plow systems I've seen. It is suppose to snow a foot or so in the next day or two so I'll get to try it out real life soon. Even if your mildly mechcanical you can put this snow plow system on in less than an hour.
I post pictures of the system if your interested as it is shiny clean right out of the box.
Take care...

I work at a dealership that sells arctic cat plows and eagle plows. I am not a fan of the cat plows at all.... On the other hand, the eagle plows are about the strongest on the market, as far as ive seen. Heavy pads, springs, and plow. They mount pretty easy. usually two bolts go thru the bolt holes for the foot pegs, and the front half mounts my sandwiching a steel bar with welded nuts on it across the top side of the frame, with bolts going thru the bottom to pull up the plate. They mount fairly flat, if you slide out the piece with the pins on it. The first time you mount the plow, you will want to hit the quick tatch brackets with a rubber mallet to get them on to the pins, because of the build up of paint on them. In all, they are great plows, and easy to assemble. Easier for me, after doing about 100 of them, but easy none the less.

I have an American Eagle plow and it works great. I used it this spring to spread a tri-axle load of limestone in my driveway. I take the mounting plate off in the summer because of the part that hangs down DOES lose ground clearance. Very easy to adjust angle. I can't compare it to another brand but I like mine. Especially the price difference. I had mine shipped to me for $329.00 total.
