removing electric start

Default removing electric start

my electric start went out on my scrambler last week and rather then pay $130 to fix it i want to remove everything completely since it needs a diet anyway. whats the best way to go bout doing this and what all can i take off my bike and still have it run

Default removing electric start

You can remove the starter, battery (replace with White Brothers batt elim capacitor), and also the starter solenoid. You can also have a few pounds milled off your flywheel to aid in instant throttle response. To top the mod off, you can reroute all your electrical up under your front plastic, for increased protection.
