i like ice racing with my buddies,on my scrambler of cource.the 3" wider axle and wider front end makes a big difference for sliding around the corners.ice screws are a must,i run 600 in each rear tire and 300 in each front..

i hear ya there, cept its prolly a good idea to only use them on ice, took me 3 hours to stud mine out and it was sweet uk but they only lasted about 4-5 hours or riding total, but i was in ditches and beanfields so i dont think that helped lol

My first time really riding on the ice with my scrammy was last year on Lake Arbutus, in Hatfield. I rode over there on the trails from my house and ended up staying on the lake all day and running through two tanks of gas. It was a blast. The lake at the time was like glass with no snow on it whatsoever so traction was minimal with rubber tires. I would put in in awd and have to blip the throttle to get it moving then once it started I could build speed. I found a couple places where the ice had cracked and formed angles so there were like jumps. I cant tell you the number of times I hit the ice jumps and launched my bike. Then there were the times when I would have a ton of speed built up and then hit the brakes and turn the wheel and just spin uncontrollable around and around across the ice.

Oh those were some fun times. I think tomorrow I will have to fire the bike up and hed over to the lake and rip around some more.

By the way there are ice races at Lake Arbutus on Sunday Feb 6 if anyone is insterested.
