i think the fan temp is around 180. they seem to run a good bit too especially if running hard. we run engine ice coolant in the race preddy. helps it alot.

 

yea ive heard 180 to 210 or something in that range... anything more your risking overheating and engine damage

 

comes on @ 180*F +/- 3*F
turns off @ 150*F +/- 8*F
Hot light on @ 221*F

That reminds me. I was actually considering some of those inline coolers for my Pred. Has anyone here used them or know how well they work? I have read (on the company's website, of course...) that they will lower coolant tempertaures between 8 and 10 degrees when using them on both the feed and the return coolant lines.

 

I have 3 red LSRacing cooling fins on mine. 1 on the lower hose and 2 on the top hose. They seem to work. It does take the fan a little longer to come on. I can tell you that they do give off mass amounts of heat!

The dunes here are awesome! I drive 100 meters out of my driveway and straight into the desert and into the wild-blue yonder! 4 wheel drives and atv's are everywhere here. The locals are more of Yami fans here. Yamis are all over. Quads, dirtbikes and buggies ae very popular here.

Looks like they might work for me. If you have 2 on the top hose, do you burn your hand when you have to swith the fuel from main to reserve or vise versa? That was really the only thing stopping me from getting a set. Also, is there a number of fins I need to look for? I have seen some that have 13 and I have seen some that have as many as 21. Last question, did you have to purge the air from the coolant system after you installed them? Thanks for your help.

 

They have the 25 fin on e-bay for $12.99. I would just get 2 of these and you should be fine. I'm going to start running engine ice, as soon as spring gets here. I might also get a set of fins to.
