Price Check

Well got back from my dealer. These are *before* taxes prices.
They have a 2004.5 SP400 for 5200 bucks. I love the price but i'm not crazy about the lack of power.
an 05 500HO for 6400 before taxes. they don't have anymore 500's from 04.
Part of me is thinking that thats a really big price jump for 100CC
What do you guys think?
help me out.
They also have a 700EFI for 6920 But thats a lot of money. not sure i can swing that.

All the dealers around here despise them. One dealer told me that if I want to drive all the way there to get a quad I better plan on never coming to them whenever I need something. I'm pretty sure all the dealers feel the same way.

I don't think they ship. Your Polaris dealer should work with you though, if they won't, find a new one. I told mine that SPS had the scrambler for $5283. My dealer sold me mine at "invoice" for $5509 + $50 doc fee. With my dealer I get a GPS, with SPS, you don't. The dealer still makes money on the back side. Depending on how many units they sell, they get a rebate back from Polaris.

Awesome i'll use that to dicker with the dealer tomorrow on the 700EFI
I don't think i would be happy with a smaller one.
Also a friend of mine said he'll power drive down to TN to get one from that dealer if this one won't deal.
This is where it would be cool to find a bunch of guys looking to get ATV's and get a big trailer and split the driving cost down there and almost null it out.

First off I looked at the current rebates/incentives on polarisindustries.com, they are giving away the gps's with an new 05 sportsman purchase, doc fees are a joke/gimick that dealers tell you to they have to charge you but are really getting some cash back from ya on the deal. My dealer told me so.
My dealer so far has been totally awesome, when my wife and I were looking to get a set of the 700EFI's I called all over town and up to 50miles away from home to get the absolute lowest price with the most for my cash possible. most of the dealer were around $7600 to $7800 out the door and $7400 from weiss equiptment, then I called C&C powersports and they told me that they would sell them to me for $7250 each and give me two solid HJC helmets. I called weiss back since they are closer to my home and talked to the salesman again and told him C&C's deal and he said he would do whatever it takes to earn my bussiness and asked what he could do. I told him that even if he matched the deal they were offering two HJC helmets so he said that I could come up to the dealership and pick out whatever helmets I wanted out of the catalog so I told him ok. I ended up picking up the quads from weiss equiptment for $7250 each out the door plus $11 title processing and picked out two HJC ac-x2 chromium helmets ($249 each) and the dealer even threw in two pairs of scott goggles and gave me a free orv sticker after I bought one. what a great experience I had with weiss, this must be why I keep going back for all my service/repairs.
If a dealership is smart they would do as weiss has above, anything it takes to earn your bussiness. a dealer who does not work on pricing, customer satisfaction or match/beat competitor pricing is not a smart dealer cause if a customer finds a deal somewhere else and asks if they will beat it and gets turned down then in my opinion and experience that customer is bound to never step foot in that dealer again. am I correct?

I called www.southernpowersports.com and they had great prices, but, when I asked them if there were any "other" charges guess what, they charge 150 bucks extra just to do the in house financing, right then I said, never mind, bottom line, I felt that they may save me about 100.00 bucks and thats just not worth it, I would rather buy local at a fair price and then have a dealership close to me if I need them and they won't be pissed when I need something, trust me, I work at a Honda, Isuzu, Chrysler dealership and we do go alittle further for people that bought their car from us verse's someone that bought somewere else.

Anyone done the research on best dealers / deals in New England? I'm looking to get (2) 400s or 500s depending on price... I'm surprised at the spread of pricing that is out there. Would appreciate any advice on good, fair dealers in the New England area.
Thanks,
Ray
