Have a friend coming over to try to find a problem with his 2004 SM700. The problems that are happening in stated as above. Has anybody had any simular problems? Is there a grond wire or something that ties them both together? Thanks for the input.

 

I would try to take off the top part of the pod (3 screws). Then unplug and plug back in the speedo. BTW if your speedo don't work you wont have AWD and your reverse override stays on.

 

Thanks for all the comments...Haha. Just a quick update.. As for the AWD not engaging there was a big branch stuck in between the frame and the drive shaft. No LCD I found a red/white wire that was broke under the light pod that went to the ignition. Broke right at the part of the wire that was not in the harness. When I called my dealer to inquire any common problems he stated that the wire ties are very tight for the handelbar wires to loosen those up. Has seen a lot of wires pinched on them. Just a little info for you all.
