I'm thinking about getting, the chrome trail tech x-bars this spring.......with the billet bar clamp. You can get them off Polaris web site or I think Rocky has them also.

the 1 1/8 bars are great. I have the Trailtech X bar. Though I have only rode with them once. My friend rolled my pred bad (which is now why I dont let other people ride it). The X bar and the trailtech clamp held up to one hell of a thrashing. But bent the steering stem, and replaced it with the stem from rath racing. But keep in mind IF you get the trailtech clamp, any of trailtechs bar clamps for that matter, they will NOT fit on any kind of Anti-vib stem. The 1 1/8 bar adds a lot of strength and will fit all the stock controls.

are the trail tech bars lower than the stock ones, and if so are they as comfortable to ride with?

They have three different bends for ATV you will want to get the HIGH bend. The low bend is more for dirt bikes and motorcycles

I've had great luck with the Trailtech gear. Currently runnin' the high bend X bars matched up to the HPD anti-vibe stem/clamp. Great fit and finish.

The best price I've been able to find so far for the Trail Tech clamp and bars is actually from their site. Trail Tech I would like to get this set-up too for my predator but I'm looking for a little more rise than stock. Anybody have this set-up on their quads? I thought of going with the high bars and Trailtech clamp and then making my own 3/4" spacer plate out of aluminum to install under the clamp.

I have a stock 2003 predator with the trail tech billet clamp and trail tech high bend bars. The height is not higher than stock bars with this setup. The clamp adds height to the overall setup, but the bars (high Bend) have a much lower bend than the factory bars. So the setup comes to feel like the bars are lower and worse yet the bars have less sweep (Bars pulled back to you) than the stock ones. Over all i like the bars and clamp but i did not get the increase in height i was expecting. If you like the setup you can always add a 1" riser block under the clamp to get the addition height. These blocks are found more for snowmobiles but the bolt pattern can be found to match.

Hope this helps.
