Default Unifilter Question

Does it come preoiled?
Where is a good place to get one?
Did you notice a power difference when you raced someone back to back after swapping from the paper filter?

Default Unifilter Question

Jeff, It does not come preoiled. If you want one, I have one sitting here, like new. I put it on, did one ride, then put the K&N on. I would say they are about the same, you can tell alittle difference, but that may just be because you put it on there and think it does.

If you want it, I'll give it to you, just cost you shipping.

okiedude- nice pics. the rear bumper turned out really good from what we can see in the pics, almost thinking of making one for mine now. would probably go with some 1" aluminum tubing then angle cut the ends and tig weld them back into place. nice job though really looks like a purchased set.

Thanks Dave, Check your PM.

Do you think it actually gives some more power over stock without other mods?

Thanks.

Jeff, I think it gives more power, similar to the K&N.

The reason I switched to the K&N is that is is easier to clean. I just spray it with cleaner, run warm water from the inside and it pushes the dirt out the outside that has collected.

The unifilter you have to remove the outer filter, wash it, then oil it by hand, rubbing in the oil and then put it back on....too much work...lol...

I have 3 of the K&N's (okay so i got just alittle carried away) so that if I pull the seat right before I go ride and say 'crap, my filter is dirty', then I just put on another K&N that I had cleaned and oiled previously....and i just have to spray in the oil....

Default Unifilter Question

jeff, i have some Amsoil filter oil, actually a whole case, if you want a bottle I'll send it along. Its super sticky, the only thing I don't like about it is that it is black, so I can't tell how dirty the filter is....I use it for my Amsoil air filter for my truck...
