What color? And where did you get it? Did you swap just the spring or did you get weights also? Make a big difference in acceleration?

Tried a search--very aggravating--no info!!

THANKS!! -Smitty

I put a Dalton blue spring in. The stock spring would flatten out after 30-35mph in which I didn't like. The Dalton blue has a very slight higher engagement but the shiftout is much higher. Now I don't have the flat spot and it climbs to top speed faster. I also got the Dalton orange/blue spring with a higher engagement, but the road conditions were to bad to test. The 800 was doing some serious wheel spinning and was hitting the rev limiter very fast. But the road was snow covered so I had no traction. I will test that one soon and I think I might like it to. I have not found a clutch kit for it yet, but Dalton said they would have one by spring. I still used the stock 60gram weights.

Thanx for the quick response!

Where did you buy the springs from?

Appreciate it! Thanx again.

I know what you mean about the "flattening-out". Goes like a bastard off-the-line, then just "accelerates". I'm going to do this first, then maybe a Power Commander + K & N... Then I'm DONE! I just bought a stainless brush guard, front/rear cargo boxes and some grip warmers. On top of this massive loan, I'll be in the poor-house very shortly!!!

I'm going in the other direction. I took off both racks and storage box, fabed a new piece to cover over where the front rack went. Pro Taper handle bars and Polaris handguards. Front brushguard bumper and Maxxis Bighorn and All-Trac tires on 2 sets of stock rims. Works front struts and the Polaris Poly belly skid plate. All this just to go out and race. But I love it. Going to Florida in a couple of weeks for my first race.
