I was doing some cleaning on my '98 Scrambler 400 tonite and took the air filter & box out. I started it up and let it run and I noticed drops of gas spraying out around the carb. Upon closer inspection I saw it was coming from the bottom of the float bowl. I took the whole carb out to check it and found that the bottom of the carb must have been rubbing the engine because I had a hole worn in the middle of the float bowl drain screw. There's actually a rubber piece under the carb on top of the engine but it apparently didn't protect the entire bottom of the carb. There isn't a whole lot of leeway when installing the carb. It basically just goes in one way. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it?
