In the manual for the 800, its on the page labeled "AIR BOX". Its number 30, and just called sensor. Bascially its on the air intake tube past the air filter.

TexMud,
I always enjoy reading your posts. You are a very knowledgeable and helpful person.
When I looked at # 30 in the manual I was thinking that it was the "air temperature" sensor. If it's not, then do you guys know where the air temp sensor is? My understanding is that there is an intake air sensor in the air box and a barometric pressure sensor somewhere.
The intake air sensor is so that the ECM can adjust the a/f ratio for ambient temperature changes, and the barometric pressure sensor is for the ECM to adjust the a/f ratio for altitude changes. Is this correct?
Just trying to figure this out.
Thanks for your help on this.

Dave,
I studied the parts manual for a while yesterday and couldn't figure it out. If you could look at the electrical diagram in the back of your service manual I think we can figure this out. It should show all the sensors. We can figure out where they are from that diagram too.

Jeff....I looked at the schematic.....there is the T-map sensor located on the air intake and a temp sensor, but for engine temperature located on the cyclinder.....don't see any other sensors other than the TPS....

Thanks for looking Dave. The engine temp would be the coolant. I wonder if it's possible that the one sensor located in the intake measures both intake air temperature and barometric pressure.
