Carburetor Jets 165 vs 157.5
#1
For a Magnum 500
I was looking over the owners manual last evening and noticed that the manual indicated that a #165 main jet came as standard equipment. Then I started looking at the addendum sheet to the owner's manual and it indicated that my machine came with a 157.5 Hmmmm..... has anybody run a magnum with the 165 jet installed.
My thoughts are that it may be faster between 40 and 55 with the larger jet. What do you think?
With the colder weather coming I may switch over to the 165 to test the theory.

Our manuel shows a 157.5. A few month ago there was a bulitin out to put a richer jet in to increase performance. We have received Sportsman 500's with a fatter jet than the manual states. I could be that later 500 motors are getting larger jets. I just know they don't run good up here with the larger jets.
