Any guesses as to why my Magnum will excellerate strong to 20-25 mph than slow right down eventually maxing out around 40 mph. I bought this quad used so don't really know what the top speed should be but I would think it should be 50 ish. After 25 it takes far longer than I think it should to reach 40. I've got a white primary,k&n, and a Supertrapp with 8 discs. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I adjusted the valves about 150 miles ago and they seemed to all be good. I thought about the cam but would the bike not run bad all the time if the cam was bad? I havent had a good look at the clutch so I'll definately give it a look. I've thought about maybe going with a team roller or something similar and a 500 HO cam. Any thoughts on that? Thanks again.

Before I dropped the $$$$$ on a TEAM I would take the secondary apart and see if anything is bad. Then I would replace the buttons and while I was in it put in a Blue Aaen secondary spring set at 2-2 and it will backshift great almost like EBS.The HO cam would be a good part to put in as long as you found the bigger carb to go along with it.The 425 isnt a powerhouse but it is a tank and very dependable.I put over 6000 miles on one before I sold it.
