for trails i would recommend a trail tire of course but yeah i have ITP holeshot XCT's on my scrammy and i love them, the improved handleing i gained with them compaired to the stock carslies was amazing, but thats probably because i had a 16th of the tread left but still, ITP holeshot XCT"S

what size are your tires? I just installed Mudlites on my 700EFI and love them but they may be a bit aggressive for what your looking for, I have the stock carlisle badland xtr's up for grabs if your interested. they are the stock tires/wheels 25" tires 8wides on the front 10wides on the back.

I think the 489 xt's are an awsome tire 6ply light and good all round tire. But if you are into a little more mud ITP's mudlites are nice and keep the weight down. I ran bear claws good aggressive tire but found them heavy and not very good in the snow and sand but were very good in everthing else . I also found that the tires in the front stock size 23-10-7 were kinda narrow and find the 23-10-8 a little better especially in snow and sand. I like the razors and holeshots but find the flatter style tire not as well suited to my style of riding good for handling and racing.
There are so many choice out there and no 2 people ride the same you will have to decide what is best suited for you and your style
For me my next tire will be 489xt's

nez02,
For trails I would say the 489 XT's are a good choice as well as the Dirt Devils. I'm running Bearclaws on the front of my Scrammy and Mud Machines on the rear. I love the combo and would recommend them to anyone who does trail riding and still wants to be able to make it through the messy stuff. The Mud Machines always got me through the ruts and the Bearclaws are just a tough tire IMO. Check out my pics for a pic of the Mud Machines.
Where ya at in Ohio? How do you like that Pro Circuit system?

I'm with Scramblerxrated, I like my bear claws. The only complaint is from the people following me they don't like dodging the rocks and mudd they kick up. The tire has great traction.

Im in Louisville (Right next to canton). I love the T-4 i wouldn't buy another exhaust. Im sold on procircuit as far as quality and performance. I had and fmf megamax and it tore apart when I tried to repack it. I noticed an ok gain with the slip on but a HUGE gain with the T-4. The only down side was the price. As far as the tires go I run trails and occasionally find myself in mud. I just want something thats gonna hook up on the trails and will let me just plow through the mud. I mean come on its a scrambler I didn't get 4x4 for nothing. lol
