Default Belt and speed runs

On Our 04 Sportsman 400, I have noticed something and was wondering if this is normal or not. If I start the Machine up, and Immediatly head into the woods and ride a bit on low range, also a bit in high range then after a 1/2 hour or so go for a wide open run, I have noticed My speed has diminished until i make about 3 runs. Is this Normal?

For instance, From Point a to b, uphill I hit 45 MPH the first time..(not top speed, the speed is still climbing)
The second time, I hit like 48 MPH, and the third run, I hit like 50 MPH, again with the speed still climbing, this is just in between driveways. It almost seems like the belt needs to run up on the primary a couple of times and stretch a bit and the more I run it, the faster it gets. Its Not a carb issue, my RPMS are consistent every run. I can Get 60 MPH out of this machine. It has done this since new and now has 900 miles on it, Just curious if anyone else experienced this?

warm her up before making hard runs....it might be the belt or other internal things that are doing this....

Oh its good and warm, the machine is anyways. When I notice it most is when I have been doing alot of slow riding, where speed never reaches above 20 -30 mph. and usually alot slower. I was thinking that the belt needs to get a bit pliable so it could shift up the sheeves a bit better, and if Im only going part way up the sheeve, then thats all the further the belt settled in until I try to go faster, If that makes sense? I have no Grooves in the clutch, buttons are fine, alignment is decent, belt is wore. I run the heelclicker system with an orange primary, but it has done this even with the stock setup.
