First of all, let me say...........

.......I couldn't be happier with my selection of the Polaris. I just don't know how I got along without one for so long. Last week seemed like it would never end. Everytime I went out through the garage, I saw that new Magnum sitting there waiting to get to the country. I know my neighbors, like myself, were tired of me driving across all their yards just to put some time on that new engine.
Got 'em up to our ranch early Saturday morning and it was beyond my wildest dreams. It was like floating across the countryside. Creeks, mud, mountainsides, rocks, through the trees - they took it all easily. I know ya'll told me that they would, but until you experience this for yourself, you just don't understand.
One thing that ya'll talked about just a few days ago, happened to me. A fan kept switching on and off throughout the afternoon. I know it must have been the oil cooler radiator fan, right? We weren't running these new machines that hard and it was only in the 90's outside - is that normal? When I got home, I looked in the owners manual and found out how worthless it was. Not one little word about and electric fan in the manual. If you guys hadn't been talking about it before I left, I wouldn't even have known it had an electric fan on board. Is this a problem or is it just doing its job?

The fan is designed to turn on when the thermal
swithch reaches a certain temp. It is normal for the fan to turn on and off. I notice Mine comes on more in the winter then summer. Thats because I'm working the engine plowing through the snow. Don't worry about, it it's normal.

As a matter of fact, this place is 200 miles north of Plano in the Kiamichi Wilderness of Oklahoma, 40 miles from the Arkansas border. It has all of the mentioned fun stuff 365 days of the year. Streams run year round, therefore mud. When I left Oklahoma Saturday night, it was raining buckets with huge electrical displays. When I got out to gas up in Denison, no rain, hot, humid. The cold front and rain didn't hit Dallas, as you know 'till Sunday.

yeah we got home sunday afternoon about the time the front was moving in. We went to funwheeler park in Longview. Pretty dry and dusty except for what is left of the ponds. Thats where everyone hung out of course. Know that we got some decent rain I want to go out to Lavon. I bet we got some mud now!

Polarisman - It is usually over 100* from mid July through August and sometimes into September. On Labor Day, it was a terrible 111*. I guess that damn fan would have been working overtime that day! Cold front came through late Sunday. Only got up to about 69* for the high today. Felt so cold that I made chile last night. Almost got out the winter coats.
I can't imagine riding in wet weather below 40. I'd have to take along the extra large flask of Jack Daniels to deal with that.
