were they muddrunners? if so i know why he did so well. thoes tires are much better than stock tires, if u want to make your sp500ho have easier steering and much better traction get muddruners.

I have the Goodyear Mudrunners on my 99 Sportsman and 00 Xplorer. These tires are excellant mud/snow tires. They are second to none in providing excellant traction in the worst conditions.I'd recommend a set of these tires for superior performance.===Bill

Did you have yours in 4wd??? Did you have the reverse override pressed in while in 4wd??? You have to press that little yellow button in order to get 4wd to work in reverse.

A friend of mine has a 00 sp 500 with the Goodyears with the P's on them(don't know the name). Anyway he's had two flats in 300 miles. Both times huge holes in the sidewalls. They are supposedly 8 ply but the sidewalls don't hold up for such a pricey tire. Of course we rag him and say the P must stand for puncture prone and not puncture resistant. The tires are excellent in mud though.
