Default 2005 700EFI? will 27" mudlites fit w/o rubbing??

Do I need to any suspension tricks to a stock 2005 700 using 27" mudlites on type 6 wheels? 27x9x12 on the fronts. I am picking it up tomorrow and want to cghange the tires from my 2004.5 500HO to the 700 and move the stock 26" to the 500. I know they widened the front and gave it more travel. Just wondering if left stock, will the rub?

Thanks

I have a 2004 700EFI with the 27" mudlites mounted on type 6's, I had to install strut spring spacers to lift the front end up to avoid rubbing issues. on the 05' models I believe there is no need to do any mods but the guy to talk to about that would be Dave aka Elkbow.

you can do a search for Mudlite and probably find plenty of info about the 05's with 27's pros/cons.

oh ya I was also gonna let you know I installed 27-9-12's on the front and 27-12-12's on the rear. I love the package but don't really care for the 12-12's on the rear. I wish I would have gone with the 10-12's on the rear instead. the 12's just seem to stick out to far and throw mud all over even when just going slow through a small puddle. I think 9's on the front and 10's on the rear would be the perfect package.

I did try the search but not too much information at all on the 2005 700s yet.

Thanks

I did use Lester ATV per your suggestion. Unfortunately they shipped me the 10"s for the front (instead of the 9") for the fronts. They reshipped me some 9" for the fronts but they were 26" in diameter. I still have the 10" sitting at home waiting for UPS to pick them. The 10" are quite a bit narrower than the 12"s. I could keep them and send back the 12's. Melanie has been working very hard to get me the right stuff. I would still recommend them.

glad to hear you went through lester's, sorry to hear about your troubles but it does sound like she's working hard to fix the mixup. the 05's are 1" wider than the 04's but I still personally feel that the 12" tires would still be to wide. It would be nice to have the Mudlites come in the same size as it's big brother the 589's. they come in 11" wides for the rear. that would be the perfect size, to bad the Mudlites don't come in 11's.
