Default best pipe for scrambler 400

I can name a few people on here that has tested many pipes and clutch kits. I tested HPD, AAEN, Hotseat and even DG on my 250. And yes most companies will say their pipe is better than someone elses. Thats why this site is here. I think 90% of the guys here can agree that FMF and DG are not good for Polaris 2 stroke quads. The main reason is no one knows where the powerband kicks in. Not even the companies. The origional question was what pipe is best for a 400. FMF does not specificly deal with Polaris. HPD, AAEN, Hotseat, RCR, Dynoport, and CPI does.

I'm gonna have to agree with 2many. Stick with a company that deals mainly with Polaris. I've heard a few people say they love the FmF. I would personally go with HPD or RcR. They know horsepower AND clutching. JMO.

the riding type will determine what you gonna choose mostly but i do
prefer top end power as with race mods indeed is the way to go,the HPD
atvrp8 is by far best efficient pipe out there for the 400 scram,
the CPI is excellent dra

F** sorry for the doublelined, the cpi is excellent dragster pipe that peak at higher output 76-7700 rpm ,all depend on what power speed you want a trial pipe with aggressive porting can fit more to yours area and location too,i do love
the smoothness of the race kit tough even for trial riding.

I've had a few---Hpd race pipe and the trail pipe.hot seat race pipe, fmf, and now I have the cpi in frame race/drag pipe. let me tell you the best is this cpi pipe,it fits well, looks great, and you don't have to use it only for drags. I use my pipe for trail riding to mx and some drags. YOU WOULD NEED SOME GOOD POWER FROM YOUR 400 FOR THIS PIPE TO WORK ITS BEST.

I couldn't agree more Matt. I run my bike on pump gas and it has awesome power from bottom to top. It's the best looking pipe as well.

We run a CPI Inframe Pipe, and what a pipe, have not used all of the other ones, but I know this one is the real deal, performs well from start to finish! Great Pipe on the Scrambler, we had a shop that the owner owned one of the Polaris's and he tried different pipes. he had his scrambler with the CPI Pipe and some clutching mods, and he was beating piped 400ex's and piped z400's . And his scrambler was a 4x4. Anyways CPI Is great
