Anyone out there have a 800 EFI? I'm looking at buying one soon and wanted to hear a little about them from someone who has ridden one. How is the take off, ride, and gas mileage? I was also thinking about putting 27' 589 m/s on it, would that take away any low end power and/or have any fender rubbing problems?

 

I dont have one but you could do a search and find lots of posts on the 800 and its pros and cons.

There was also a recent post with videos of the 800 racing sport quads. Its fast and IMO a great machine.

I picked up an 800 last Sat. It definately has more power down low over the 700 my brother has a 700. I pull the wheels easily. I love it....

 

Do you still have the stock tires on it? I would like to put the itp 589 m/s 27" tires but have some concerns on fender rubbing and loss of low end power.

 

still stock. the stock tires are 26's already and much better than previous years. They sling mud well. I am sure you may loose a little bottom end with the size, but that can all be picked back up with a spring in the primary clutch I am sure....I don't think you will have any clearance issues.

 

28" tires are your limates on the new 2005's for fender rubbing, past 28 your going to rub, so you'll need a lift, but once you get to 10" front tires and 12" rear tires you need spacers

 

So would I need spacers on a 27x9 & 27x11 itp, the 26" tires come in the same width also? Or this would only be for the 10 & 12 widths?

 

Hang on there. 29.5s will go on just fine. They may rub the front fenders while turned and the suspension is compressed, but they will run fine.
