I have a 99 sportsman 500 and my front clutch is shot....when in high or low or reverse, at idle it won'ts to take off by itself, my mechanic said i have to replace that clutch and it is like $350!!! can i use that heelclicker clutch to replace it or what? or does it only add to the main clutch... please help...thanks PB500

what you have is a creeping problem and if your clutch is out of alinment it will cause that. Sounds like your dealer is trying to make some money off you. A heel clicker is parts that go into your main clutch like weights and springs.

he said that he could put some shims or something to keep the belt from coming off track, but he couldn't guarantee how long they would last...said my belt just keeps working its way over and that is why it creaps.....any ideas?

That sounds right when he say he is going to put shims in it to keep it from creeping. Sounds like your clutch is out of alignment and the shims will fix it. What he will probably do is take the secondary off and put a couple washers behind it to line it up. Also if you are looking for a clutch I would look in to the heel clicker clutch system it is an awsome clutch kit.

that is what i am asking...will the heelclicker replace my clutch that is messed up or what....or will i have to get the shims, plus the heelclicker clutch? thanks for your help buddy

No the Heel clicker will not fix your problem. What the dealer will do is put a clutch line up tool on it and put some washers behind the secondary or if the secondary is out to far with to many washers on it to begin with he will remove some washers till it lined up.
