Default replacing winch cable to rope

After I took my plow off, I pulled my cable out all the way. I've only used it maybe t hree times (besides plowing) but it has alot of flat spots and fraying throughout the length. I'm thinking it's time to try the rope. SpiderTrax has it in Dirt Wheels for $68.00 and the aluminum fairlead for $40.00,free shipping if you order both, but the rope doesn't come with the protector sleeve. Any better deals anyone know of? Also when it comes to installing it, what's the best/easy way to do it. BTW, this is'nt the Amsteel Blue rope, I can't remember the name, but the guy I spoke with claimed it's a little stronger and better warranty. It's grey in color with a yellow hook. Anyone have this??

That's just my point, my cable looks like -ell! with hardly any use. Iv'e heard so much talk about how this rope is so much better and stronger than cable, I am ready to try it Do a search on synthetic winch rope and read what everyones talking about, maybe you'll want to get some too!!

you can replace your winch line with spectra braid rope wich is stronger than cable
here is a link to what we use on the cranes on our boats Specialty 12 strand Spectra Braid. It would be perfect for an atv winch IMO

there is smaller diameter than the 1/4" if you want smaller diameter thats still strong enough for your atv winching under 12 strand spectra braid

I got a 50 ft. Amsteel Blue rope off of eBay for under $50 with shipping. It didn't come with the protective sleeve but that's something I can pick up when I want too. I got a new Warn fairlead off of eBay as well for about $30 with shipping. If you keep watching you can find some good deals. I have a couple of pics of the rope in my gallery. I've used it for plowing a couple of times and so far so good.
