I have a ridding buddy who has a sprortsman 400 that the starter does not work when the starter is warm, I have read some stuff on here about replacing the brushes, does anyone know if you have to remove the starter to replace the brushes? How hard of a job it is? how much do the brushes cost from Polaris?

 

I have searched these forums but do not see answers to the questions I have. Please help

You do have to remove the starter to rebuild it. You can buy new brushes or a rebuild kit. It is not difficult to do. The hardest part is doing the brushes.
