Hey im 13 and im probably gonna get a 05' predator 90. I'm wondering if they are good racing atv's and what kind of upgrades i can put on it so it can go faster and be more powerful. I'm an aggressive but smart rider.

The 90 does well, but if your the average size 13 year old, you will not like it. My daughter is 13 and 5'3" tall and the 90 does not fit her. She's been riding a 250ex for the last year and does very well with it. Any of the new 250's would be much better for you. You would out grow that 90 in about 1hr.

 

i would get a 250 but my dad says it's against the law if your not 16. He's making me get a 90 even though im big for it

 

well if you go racing with your 90, you'll be about double the age of the other riders in your class. a 90 has decent power for zipping a little 7 year old around but at 13 you should be on atleast a 250. i know many a 13 year olds with preds, rappys, z400's and such. i think i'd wait til i was 16 if your dad makes you ride a 90.

 

It's not against the law to ride anything bigger then a 90, it's just a policy that the manufactors have come up with to please the CSP. They won't sell your dad if you are with him, but he can buy it for you. You will not be breaking the law riding a 250 on the trails.

 

for some reason he thinks it's illegal. thanx for the information guys, im gonna try to persuade my dad. cuz i ride my uncle's 250EX and i have no problem controlling it.
