"Stock" tires are 25 inch, so if your speedo said 60mph you were probably going even faster than that. Maybe I need to try that synthetic fluid in my hubs

Glad to hear it cleared up your problem. I've always run Mobil 1 in my hubs with no problems at all. Mobil 1 synthetic atf will last longer than regular atf, and will lubricate the bearings and hubs better for longer life. You can also run their 75W-90 synthetic gear lube in the front end and the transmission. I noticed you changed the fluid in the shifter. I did that as well by siphoning(sp??) the old out and replacing with Mobil 1 atf. Later,
