Default scrambler shock question.

well when i go thrw the moguls the front goes nicely over them but the back slams up and the rear tires leave the ground really far. the shocks seem fine if i pressthem down them come nicely straight back up. do i need to lighten ot tighten my springs some? i weight 145 if that matters.

Default scrambler shock question.

Hey Jordan. I would look for a Fox shock with a rezzie off of ebay. I'm not sure if a concentric or non-concentric shock with interchange but someone might know. The reason I say a fox shock is cause I had run into the same problem as you and had my dealer re-work the shock for a more agressive and sporty ride. It did wonders for whoops. I can take them at WOT and just skim the tops no problem. Good luck. Maybe some one else can chime in and say something about the Fox Shock interchanging with the different swingarms.

Default scrambler shock question.

At 145 lbs I would lighten up the spring preload almost all the way down.
Sounds like it is rebounding to hard and quickly.

Default scrambler shock question.

I had this same problem on an older honda cr125 dirt bike. it was so bad it would throw you off the bike if you jumped it. By tht time I got the bike it had claimed 2 broken arms and a broken clavicle. turns out the shock was completely shot. it had no rebound damping at all. I would have that shock checked to make sure it is working. If it is bad then as you leave the ground the rear end slams to its farthest travel point sending the bike up.
