I have a 03 predator 90 that has no spark. I started out by checking some of the basics (ign. sw, throttle sw, oil inj., kill sw, wiring, ect.) So i thought i would check the signals from the ign. charge coil and the pick up coil. Well i seemed to be getting a good sig. from the charge but nothing from the trigger( i believe it is the small coil mounted external of the flywheel, on the stator plate. Well, no signal, so i resitance, nothing, open....Then i went on the net to see if I could find one, and i cant, i even looked at the factory polaris micro fische and i can see it mounted on the stator plate,(which says not availabel) but i cant find it separate.....Anyone have any experiance with these? Am I on the wrong track
assuming its the pick up coil? Its been a while since i ahave worked on a wheeler so maybe i am missing some thing, if so fill me in. thank you in advance.

 

Is your taillight burnt out? I know this may sound funny but we have encountered alot of weird things with our 2003 shop pred. 90 no preblems with the 05 yet though.

I think they sell it as one complete assembly- the pick-up coil and stator together.

 

My 02 predator 90 does the same thing. I can clean the stator and pick up and the inside of the fly wheel and it will start immediateley. Recently I bought all the covers for the 05. Problem still exists but, I can run a water hose in the snorkel and clean the parts without pulling the fly wheel. Has anyone found a solution, I have to find running water every time the ATV wont start!
