I jsut stripped down my tblazer 250 which has about the same body as yours and it took me about 2 hours. Just loosened bolts and worked my way to the cyclinder. I here you guys talking about head milling. Can anyone tell me what exactly head milling really is and if i should do it to mine, and if it will add hp.

yes,in your case a trail porting will do best and trail heads, the engine
still dependable without girdle in trail mods version.
when become time to clutch, you can use sleds primary spring to end up
the the shift you like to,remember to fine jetting the thing, the pwk
is the best lower cost to run carb available for the 400,so let take a look to it in the first mods to buy.

I would totally have to disagree. I already know of someone else that I ride with on ocassion that has had a cylinder break that has a Ritter trail mod. Why not get a girdle to be on the safe side. Cost of cylinder new (350.00) then have the new cylinder ported (200-250 )and probably a new piston (75-100) since he's gonna probably be at a .040 over THEN pay for a girdle kit. Why not just get a girdle now. I know that Rick reccomends getting a girdle for a trail mod. I guess you didn't happen to see the pics of my blown up motor when I posted "Better support your trail mod". Total cost if he does break a cylinder 625.00. Then the cost of a girdle installed (150.00). Why pay the extra 625.00?
